The Man With the Red Silk Hood

The Man with the Red Silk Hood

A bump in the night, a blade in the dark

My dog’s chain rattled, yet he did not bark

“Show yourself!” I cried aloud

To no intended crowd

I grabbed my .32 and crept

Away from my wife, who still slept

Strange that her eyes were glazed over

I must not have been entirely sober

For on that bed my wife did lay

Three slashes in her pink PJ’s

I went into the living room

While thunder outside boomed

And to my dread, there he stood
The Man with the Red Silk Hood

Quick Introduction

Hello! Some of you may have read my other blogs, but this one will be different.  Although it's similar to "30 Day Challenge", this blog will contain two posts per week, each being either an original poem, short story, or some other brief form of literature.  Once every three weeks, I will post a chapter from a semi-rough draft of my book-in-progress.  The book is titled 'Paladin' and is a science fiction novel.
On a side note, I am the son of Anne Kimball, author of such blogs as "Bringing Borya Home" and "Life on the Funny Farm".  I hope you enjoy my work, and please leave comments!
